Proverbs 24:16, "For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity." 

Our focus for this message is not the fall of the wicked but the rising of the righteous.  It has been said that as long as we get up as many times as we fall life is ours, but fall one more time than you get up then failure is sure.  I went with a youth group one time to play paint ball and there is something I learned that day, you have to be in pretty good shape to play this game.  The more times I got down behind the blinds the more times I did not want to get back up; not just because I was getting shot every time but I was sore and my muscles were tired.  When in our spiritual life we feel as if we are tired and it is hard to stand again due to the onslaught of attack by Satan we can rest assured in this, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Ps46:1.  Christian, you belong to the Creator and Sustainer of the world, don't rely on your own strength to get back up the 7th time, but count on His.
